Words are the source of misunderstandings. (from The Little Prince by
Antoine de Saint-Exupery)
This has been my recent experience. I miss Abilene where my words make sense…
Emily, Abilene misses you. Well I do, anyway. Come back!!!
What do you mean by this quote, Kristi? I think words are beautiful tools that help you craft and sculpt meaningful sentences and convey your message completely. Words are the source of misunderstanding to those who are not familiar with them. And there aren’t (thankfully) many like that!
I think words can create misunderstanding when they are spoken without consideration first. I think words can create misunderstanding when, as Juster says in The Phantom Tollbooth, you use a lot to say a little.
