It is sometimes the mystery of death that brings one to a consciousness of the still greater mystery of life. (from Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm by Kate Douglas Wiggin)

Today, finally, we got to hear some good news. It seems like, for the past month, we have heard nothing but tragedy as it relates to babies and pregnancies. But today, a good ultrasound from one friend, a happy announcement from another, and a healthy birth from one of our MOPS moms yesterday. I didn’t know if I could hear of another baby passing away in the womb. It was nice to hear good news of beating hearts today. And, somehow, that news that would have been so happy anyway was that much happier because of the tragedies in our midst. When so much can go wrong, isn’t it some kind of miracle that it can also go so right?
