One mosquito can keep me “awaker” than a bad conscience. (from Anne of Windy Poplars by L.M. Montgomery)
I have a mosquito bite on my middle toe, the little piggy who had roast beef. I am very awake. I am quite annoyed.
But then, I remember someone telling me once to be grateful for the little pains and itches that remind us we are alive. So I am trying to be thankful, if not for mosquitoes, for life and the feeling of it.
