Dangerous flaws July 31, 2010

“The most dangerous flaws are those which are good in moderation,” she said. “Evil is easy to fight. Lack of wisdom . . . that is very hard indeed.” (from The Titan’s Curse by Rick Riordan)

When I read this quote, I kept to to share because of how true it is.  I can think of a lot of characteristics that are good in moderation but become flaws when excessive.  Like appreciating good food.  That’s good unless it becomes an obsession.  Or wanting to be healthy or safe, until it affects your ability to enjoy your life.  And it’s always these flaws that are hardest to accept and change because they seem like good things.
