“Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cotton-tail, who were good little bunnies, went down the lane to gather blackberries; But Peter, who was very naughty, ran straight away to Mr. McGregor’s garden, and squeezed under the gate!” (from The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter)

Benjamin and I had just finished reading a little Peter Pan and were heading out the door to deliver a birthday cake today when, who should we see, but another Peter! A light brown rabbit, with a white tail hastily making his way across our lawn. He wasn’t wearing any clothes so I am sure we will find a little blue jacket (quite new) and shoes hanging in a neighboring garden in a cautionary way. We have seen Peter before and by the look of things, he is getting quite fat from the plunder he finds after squeezing under gates!

Maybe “he” is getting quite fat for other reasons. You may have mini Peters running around soon!

We have a few of those around our house as well. Spur gives many of the quite a scare, when she gets the chance.

  3. Jon Says:

This one is a little more domesticated and a lot fatter than the ones that Spur is probably chasing.
