“Everybody cried, because death is hard. Death is sad. But death is part of life. When someone you know dies, it’s your job to keep on living.” (from Each Little Bird That Sings by Deborah Wiles)
Again, simplicity says it best. Death is hard. Death is sad. So many people we love have lost people they love this year. We commend them for the way they just keep on living. Today we send our love and condolences to the Eaton family as their grief is so new. But also, to the others who have lost parents and grandparents lately (or not so lately), we say it’s okay to be sad even as you go on living. It doesn’t stop being hard after a month or a year. I think sometimes the worst part is when the rest of the world has forgotten and moved on, but your grief is still fresh. You know who you are and we love you and pray for you still.
For the book lovers, I highly recommend Each Little Bird That Sings as a charming and engaging book. It handles a heavy subject with a light touch.
